Position Details:
Title: Maintenance Technician - Mechanical
Location: Irving, TX. Travel: None
Shift: 7pm-7am nights on a 2-on, 2-off, 3-on, 2-off, 2-on, 3-off, bi-weekly schedule with every other weekend off!
Compensation: Initial base rate determined by skills and experience (3rd class = $33; 2nd class = $36; 1st class = $40) + $1.50/hr. shift bonus for nights worked + $1/hr. line call bonus responding to machine issues + O/T after 40 hours weekly (there is automatic O/T built into the shift structure weekly!) + up to 10% quarterly variable incentive plan bonus based on performance metrics + pay skill increases based on certification/experience + holiday incentive pay + yearly raises + $7K sign-on relocation available. $85K-$100K+ 1st year!

Position Description: This position is part of company's flagship and largest roofing shingle & asphalt plant maintenance team. Maintenance Technicians primarily troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production systems and equipment. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install all equipment and systems in the plant to insure smooth operation, production, & safe working conditions. Key duties include:

Troubleshooting & solving production and facility equipment problems during day-to-day operations.
Performing preventative maintenance on equipment & systems to prevent downtime/deterioration.
Work assignments on projects for continued growth, expansion, & safety of the plant and work areas.
Work with outside contractors to perform installation or service of equipment within the facility.
Assisting operators to minimize downtime and complete scheduled equipment cleaning/changeovers.


Requirements: HS Diploma. Candidates must be maintenance professionals with 2+ years industrial systems experience troubleshooting & repairing industrial systems. Strong systems-level electrical, electronics, or mechanical experience. Multi-craft technicians are preferred. Electrically you will be fixing motors, starters, variable-frequency drives, sensors, interfaces, input/output controls, and some robotics on production line equipment and systems. Mechanically you will be fixing conveyors, motors, belts, chains, sprockets, rollers, bearings, gear boxes and mechanical systems connected to some basic electrical systems on production line equipment and systems. Candidates must have excellent troubleshooting & be able to read schematics, blueprints, drawings for maintenance/troubleshooting/repair. Candidates should have ability to share skills to help others develop, excellent communication skills, and commitment to providing a high level of detail, pride, and safety towards system & equipment maintenance work, projects, and programs. Candidates must pass background and full-panel drug test prior to employment.
