A Mixer performs activities in the radio studio and control room to ensure technical quality of sound for programs originating in the studio, syndications, and/or from remote pickup points.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Airing live and pre-recorded shows
• All commercials and promos as scheduled
• Completing traffic log and logging discrepancies
• Airing emergency alert system tests as indicated
• Engineering remote broadcasts and following station procedures KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Should be able to operate a control board
  • Should be able to talk music and records that best fit the stations core audience
  • Should be able to use social media, post content relative to the artist and music we play
  • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
  • Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station's clients and listeners
  • Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
    • Six months of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
