Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) is looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead to join the GCS IT team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in cloud development, with deep expertise in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure cloud technologies. This role requires a strong technical leader who is proficient in coding and willing to contribute 80% of their time to development while providing technical guidance to the team. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React (or other front-end frameworks), Power Platform, APIs development, cloud-native best practices, and DevOps processes to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES:Hands-On Development:

  • Actively participate in sprints and contribute 80% of the time to development tasks.
  • Develop and maintain scalable applications using C#, SPFx, Power Platform, React (or framework of choice), Microsoft Graph API, PnP JS, PowerShell, SharePoint REST and custom APIs.
  • Develop and optimize Azure Functions, Web APIs, Runbooks and cloud-native solutions.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment. Ensure that all solutions are robust, reliable, and secure.Technical Leadership:
    • Guide the development team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and best practices.
    • Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and maintainability principles. Provide guidance to the team in writing high-quality and scalable code through technical sessions and documentation.
    • Provide technical assistance and hands-on support in troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring timely resolution of development roadblocks.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and methodologies, integrating them into development workflows to drive continuous innovation and improve team productivity. Explore and identify opportunities to integrate AI and intelligent features into solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with team members within an Agile framework, actively participating in sprint planning, assist in defining acceptance criteria, identifying any technical dependencies, and effectively sizing user stories to ensure clear requirements and alignment with sprint goals.
    • Utilize Azure DevOps and GitHub to plan, track, and document work, ensuring transparency and effective project coordination.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
      • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
      • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on development experience across Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform. Must have proven ability to lead technical teams while actively engaging in coding to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
      • The ideal candidate must have expertise in API integration using Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, and PnP JS, enabling seamless data access and interaction across Microsoft 365 services and custom solutions.
      • The ideal candidate must have working knowledge of GitHub and Azure DevOps tools for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
      • The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role.
      • Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
      • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
        • Familiarity with Azure AI services, including Generative AI (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI) to enhance solution capabilities with intelligent features.
        • Microsoft certifications related to Azure.
        • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
        • Proven track record of delivering complex cloud-based solutions.LOCATION:This is a remote role. This job posting is expected to close on May 30 th 2025.COMPENSATION:The salary range for this role is $109,000 - $222,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.BENEFITS:We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' health, financial security, and well-being.
