seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Conventions Ticketing &
Event Management Platform with a passion for solving unique

ENGINEER, YOU WILL:Develop quality and scalable code on an industry
leading ticketing platform.Make architectural, platform design and
tooling selection decisions with broad impactMentor and enforce
excellent programming practices in team members via code reviews,
peer programming, training sessions, etcWrite readable,
maintainable and well-tested codeHelp implement high-quality and
long-lasting solutions to complex problems facing event organizers
with a user-first mindsetWork directly with stakeholders to
understand problem scope and customer needsSet priorities and
refine tasks and estimates while participating in sprint planning
sessions, standups, and retrospectivesWrite software used at-scale

INFORMATION:Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly
company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office
for employees located in Montr--al (CAN), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney
(AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we
provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend,
and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour! -If you
don't live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can
work from the office for as long as you need.Leap Event Technology
requires all Event Operations employees and contractors who will be
representing the company at a client event to be fully vaccinated

SKILLS:4-6 years professional experience preferred (including 2
years in a Sr. or Lead Engineering role).History of writing unit,
integration and end-to-end testsAffinity for teamwork and
leadership skillsHistory of working closely with Devops and SRE
teamsStrong understanding of modern software design
practicesAbility to write organized, legible, testable and
efficient softwareProficient at using APM & other tools to debug
and diagnose issues as well as conduct code performance profiling
and optimization.Comfortable around a command line in a
Linux-flavored environmentSolid understanding of web and network
securityEagerness to learn and willingness to take initiative to
solve problemsStrong Communication and writing skillsHistory of
writing technical specifications based on product definitionsBONUS
SKILLS:Experience using the CakePHP FrameworkExperience working
with Node.jsExperience with at least one modern JS Framework
(React, Angular, Vue, etc).Experience with the AWS ecosystem and
Docker/KubernetesExperience with DevOps tools (terraform, ansible)
and CI/CDExperience working with systems that process payments (PCI
DSS compliance)History of contributing to open source
softwareAbility to demonstrate professional expertise with writing,
blog posts, talks, or other public work
