About the RoleThis position is responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, excellent interpersonal and motivational skills, and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Store Layout - Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to enhance the shopping experience.
• Meet Sales and Labor Targets - Work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Analyze Sales and Reports - Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales reports and labor to inform business decisions.
• Develop Product Knowledge - Develop and maintain advanced product knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain Vendor Relationships - Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Resolve Team Concerns - Work with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Lead by Example - Function as the point person and departmental person in charge in the absence of the Team Leader, setting high standards for retail execution and fostering a positive team environment.Requirements

  • Product Knowledge - Thorough product knowledge, with the ability to teach and promote products effectively.
  • Communication Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Mathematical Skills - Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
  • Problem-Solving Skills - Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.Experience
    • Team Member Experience - 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
