Job Description:

• Leadership and Team ManagementAs a Bakery Team Leader at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the Bakery team. This includes ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.
• Operational ExcellenceYou will be accountable for all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance and special projects as assigned. This also includes monitoring and achieving sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Team Development and PerformanceAs a Bakery Team Leader, you will be responsible for making hiring and separation decisions, selecting, training, developing, mentoring, motivating, and counseling Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Customer Service and ExperienceYou will maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers; respond promptly to customer needs and questions.
• Communication and CollaborationAs a Bakery Team Leader, you will consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals, and establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with department leaders and with vendors.
• Knowledge and SkillsYou will be responsible for sustaining exceptional level of knowledge and awareness of relevant competitors and industry trends, and for selecting, training, and developing Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsAs a Bakery Team Leader, you must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in wet and dry conditions.
