At UT Health East Texas Clinics, we are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Athens, TX. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant. Prior medical clinic experience and BLS certification are also preferred.Responsibilities include performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic healthcare team that is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and service.
