Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at UT Health Tyler. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic imaging services to our patients.Responsibilities:

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes, under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Position patients on examining tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas, as requested by physicians.
• Move X-ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
• Practice radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills, and knowledge of applicable exposure factors, to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
• Operate mobile X-ray equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patients' bedside.Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology school
  • Registered by the ARRT within 90 days of employment
  • Licensed through the Texas Medical Board within 90 days of employment
