Job Description:

At UT Health Tyler, we are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Outpatient Orthopedic Unit. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our medical team.Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
  • Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
  • Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.Preferred Requirements
      • 6 months' medical clinic experience.
      • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
