Hours:40Summary:Cook Children's Health Care System ( CCHSC ) in
Fort Worth, Texas, has a dynamic opportunity for a full-time board
eligible/board certified Neonatologist.The successful candidate
will have a passion for the NICU graduate/survivor population, and
will be working in our NEST Developmental Follow-up Clinic. While
developmental follow-up is our primary mission, we serve to address
many of the social determinants of health that impact this
population, and their developmental outcomes long-term. We view
ourselves as a medical home for these families, and a resource to
help them navigate the complexities of life after NICU discharge.
Position Specifics:
- Performing standardized neurological assessments, as well as
administration of validated developmental assessments and
screeners.
- Working collaboratively with neurologists, developmental
pediatrician, developmental psychologist, nurse coordinator, social
workers, dietitians, parent liaison, medical assistants, clinical
therapists (PT/OT/ST), behavioral therapists and other staff.
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives and clinical
research projects based on level of interest and experience.
- Schedule: 5 days per week with administrative time allotted for
charting and other non-clinical activities.
- Attend annual State Follow-up collaborative meeting (NEON), and
participate in continuing education related to neurodevelopmental
follow-up of the high-risk NICU graduate/survivor. Qualifications:
Candidates must be board certified in pediatrics and BE/BC in
Neonatology or Pediatrics and eligible to secure an unrestricted
