The Digital & Technology team at CBRE is a forward thinking and innovative team, currently leading a global digital transformation. We are looking for a Snr Enterprise Architect - Data to join the global team based in Richardson, TX. The person must have a passion for solving complex problems and developing digital solutions that combine rich data with advanced technology to deliver insights at the point of interaction. Role requires modern data centric architecture approaches.

About The Role:

As a CBRE Enterprise Architecture Sr. Consultant Director, you will be working with cross-functional teams, requiring strong working relationships with multiple teams including Product Management, Technology, Data and Business Transformation teams. In addition to internal constituents, you may also work with customers and partners to understand the market requirements and to support the business, so excellent communication (written and verbal) and a passion for creating customer centric user experience is vital.

What You'll Do:

  • Builds a technology vision and data strategy to support all service lines or technical disciplines. Using a holistic approach, conducts enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation for the successful development and execution of strategy.
  • Documents and communicates the data strategy using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, and adaptable manner.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact (SPOC) between D&T and the business for all things related to data architecture and strategy. Champion and serve as the lead cloud data architect for all data transformation programs
  • Extensive experience in Data Architecture work, including executing at least 3 large scale Data platform modernization and/or Data Migration projects from inception to production.
  • Several years of enterprise data integration and management experience working with Datawarehouse technologies, Data pipelines, and cloud data platforms
  • Work with technical teams, businesses and end-users to successfully design modern applications and Data platforms. Help to choose correct technologies based on business strategy, capabilities and requirements, including application, data, technology and integration architecture.
  • Communicate and provide data architecture / business expertise to other associates during system development; ensure systems' data architecture is compatible with existing and future enterprise data architecture.
  • Partner to develop strategies and roadmaps for AI & machine learning and other advanced analytics areas (e.g., natural language processing, neural networks, computer vision, ML platforms, open-source libraries, event-driven stream processing, data lakes)
  • Develop and review execution plans with respective owners of enterprise systems, regarding the evolution from current legacy platforms to modern data centric future-state. Market and build consensus as necessary to execute identified solutions.
  • Create and articulate future state data platform vision via all the relevant architecture & design artifacts. Help validate these proposed future state architectures with proofs-of-concepts and/or MVPs.
  • Lead the analysis and documentation of the current application and integration landscapes, creating future state architectures and roadmaps.
  • Creation and management of architecture artefacts and lower-level components.
  • Perform application demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Provide technical expertise to design scalable data marts, data lake and data warehouse solutions, including addressing and resolving complex technical issues
  • Provide formal technical guidance and informal assistance to engineering teams.

    • Minimum bachelor's degree qualification, with strong quantitative background (STEM education background (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)
    • Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure)
    • Technical proficiency, including:
      • 4+ years of enterprise data strategy development
      • 8+ years of deep solution architecture with focus on data technologies
      • 5+ years of AWS/Azure data, Analytics and AI services
      • 5+ years in data platforms and integration tools such as Snowflake, Snaplogic, Collibra, Informatica etc
      • Working knowledge of BI analytics tools like Tableau, PowerBI
      • Recent strong experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs)
      • Experience implementing ETL pipelines using custom and packaged tools
      • 5 + years of RDBMS experience
      • Data modeling, Datawarehouse, data lake and datamart architecture experience
      • Have an excellent technical and commercial understanding in the creation of technology solutions and outcomes for customers.

        • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills; you will often find in situations where you have to describe problem statements, solution options, your analysis and recommendations to a mix of technical and non-technical, and use strong influencing skills to gain consensus and an agreed way forward.
        • Ability to learn emerging technologies (knowledge graph, data fabric, generative AI, Augmented Analytics, ) and to apply these technologies to solve business problems
        • Strong desire to experiment with and learn new technologies and stay aligned with the latest community developments in AI/ML Ops/Engineering and cloud native.
        • Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost and quality factors in mind. Risk identification and mitigation, quantification and qualification non-functional and functional requirements.
        • Driven digital transformation, roadmaps, target operating models, cost reduction, performance improvement
        • Proactive in identifying problems early and help the team to prioritise deliverables
        • Self-motivated, smart and quick to learn
        • Interest in, and focus on, customers and passionate about creating good user experiences
        • Good knowledge of agile software development processes
