growth.About The JobThe Compliance Director is responsible for
ensuring that the franchisor and its franchisees adhere strictly to
the franchise agreement requirements, as well as applicable federal
and state franchise laws. This role is responsible for building a
high-performance team that helps ensure compliance through
conducting franchisee audits, implementing policies and procedures,
measuring and tracking department activities, and liaising with
internal departments to ensure maximum effectiveness of the
function in support of maintaining the integrity and reputation of
our brands.Essential Job Functions
- Oversee and provide strategic direction to the franchise
compliance function, focusing on adherence to franchise agreements,
and relevant federal and state regulations.
- Develop an annual compliance plan aligned with the
organization's goals and objectives. Ensure that resources are
effectively allocated to address key risks and priorities.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing internal
compliance team. Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional
development opportunities to staff members to enhance their skills
and capabilities.
- Oversee the execution of franchisee audits in accordance with
professional standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure that
compliance audits are conducted efficiently, objectively, and with
due professional care.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize key franchise compliance risks
facing the organization. Provide assurance and recommendations to
management on the adequacy of risk management practices and
subsequent agreements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal
associates, the leadership team, and other key stakeholders.
Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and insights in a
clear and concise manner.
- Establish and maintain a quality assurance and improvement
program for the compliance function. Ensure that processes,
methodologies, and deliverables meet professional standards and
best practices.
- Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, industry trends, and
emerging risks that may impact the organization. Ensure that
compliance activities remain in compliance with relevant laws,
regulations, and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the compliance
function. Identify opportunities to enhance audit methodologies,
tools, and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and present audit reports, findings, and
recommendations to senior leadership to ensure that results are
communicated timely and that appropriate action plans are developed
to address any identified issues.To perform this job successfully,
