    Our client is a privately held commercial real estate investment and development firm focused on deep value creation for their investors and partners. The firm focuses on multifamily, BTR, single family and master planned communities and is very active in Dallas.

    Job Description

    Reporting to the CFO of residential real estate firm, the Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for the accurate financial reporting, planning and analysis of their assigned region. The Senior Finance Manager will help leadership make smart informed decisions on individual projects. The Senior Finance Manager will implement a more rigorous planning and budgeting process by challenging the status quo. The Firm has ambitions to grow their portfolio and this is a key hire to support this growth.Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses
    • Maintenance of books and records, recording of transactions and accruals, and oversee all aspects of accounting, including treasury, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.
    • Prepare month-end reporting of financial results to key leadership
    • Provide accurate cash flow projections on projects
    • Assist in identification and underwriting of new investment opportunities
    • Oversee lender reporting and compliance, oversee team tracking and adherence to reporting deadlines
    • Drive continuous improvement with financial reporting accuracy through ongoing reconciliation and variance analysis reporting.

      The Successful Applicant

      Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields with roughly 7+ years of relevant finance experience. Other key qualities:
      • CPA and/or Masters preferred.
      • Strong understanding of real estate investment ventures and the real estate development process
      • Process improvement minded professional who is always looking to improve efficiency and accuracy of the finance function.
      • Experience working for a residential (multifamily, BTR, Single Family/SFR, master planned etc) development firm
      • High proficiency in Excel with VBA coding/SQL knowledge highly desirable.

        What's on Offer

        As this is a newly created position our client is committed to hiring the right individual versus someone who sit in a defined salary band however they expect to pay roughly $125,000 - $150,000 depending on experience. This position will be bonus eligible and have access to other long term incentives. Opportunity to have a high visibility position and make an immediate impact to a growing team!
