Job Description:

Genesis Realty Management is seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful Senior Multifamily Property Management Accountant to join our fast-growing team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Execute full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of multifamily properties
- Prepare monthly financial reports in accordance with GAAP, providing insights into property performance and financial trends
- Perform the general accounting functions and the monthly close process (AR, AP, GL)
- Post monthly journal entries including reclasses and accruals provided by onsite property managers
- Update month-end reporting workbook to reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly
- Require cash flow management to pay the property expenses and to predict the need of funding
- Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
- Perform cash disbursement through checks, ACH and wires
- Assist with the preparation of annual operating budget
- Facilitate year-end tax preparation and annual audit process
- Perform other duties assigned by executive team

Knowledge and Skills Required:
--- - - - -BA or BS degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
--- - - - -3 to 4 years of junior property accountant experience in multifamily property
management.
--- - - - -Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.
--- - - - -Experience with property management software applications Entrata and Onesite.
--- - - - -Ability to work with minimal supervision.
--- - - - -Ability to multitask.
--- - - - -Team-oriented attitude.
--- - - - -Ability to meet deadlines and work in a high volume fast paced environment.
--- - - - -Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
